Pioneer Technology Center
Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) offers over 55 Career Majors in a variety of high wage and high demand areas such as: Architectural and Construction; Business; Information Technology; Health Sciences; Hospitality and Tourism; Human Services; Manufacturing and Fabrication; Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); and Transportation, Distribution and Logistics. PTC is an approved site for Technology Centers That Work. Special programs offered at PTC include Sharing Hope and Redefining Education (dropout recovery), New Beginnings, GED/ABE, Supported Employment, and the Gateway to Technology extension program. Students attending PTC have access to math and science instructors for academic support and the Educational Enhancement Center, which supports CareerTech instruction by helping students develop employability skills as well as basic and advanced academic skills. PTC supports economic development efforts through its business and industry programs. These include Agricultural Business Management, Bid Assistance, Business Incubator, Management Development, Industry Training, Manufacturing Extension Agent, Safety Training, Self-Employment Training, Small Business Management, and short-term training classes for adults. Secondary students living in the technology center district who attend a public, private, parochial, charter, or home school can attend PTC at no charge. Financial aid is available to adult students who qualify.
