Andrew Zang, Pre-Engineering

Andrew Zhang is a fourth-year, MNTC Pre-Engineering student and a senior at Norman High School. He was selected as the Norman Kiwanis Club Student of the Month for March 2019. Andrew recently earned a spot at the World Vex Robotics Competition to be held in April 2019 in Louisville, KY.

Phillip Gaines, Cosmetology

Phillip Gaines will graduate from MNTC’s Cosmetology program this May. He worked for 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry before making this career change. He was selected as the Moore Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for March 2019. Hear his story!

MNTC Pre-Engineering Testimonial: Tim Long

Tim Long was a part of MNTC’s very first class of Pre-Engineering in 2004. He went on to the University of Oklahoma and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Today he is a Lead Laboratory Engineer II with GE Baker Hughes in OKC.

Alonzo Clark – MNTC Networking Information Systems Student

Alonzo Clark is an MNTC Networking Information Systems student. He was recently hired for his first job in the IT field while completing the program, and hopes to continue to learn about IT and gain industry certifications to stay competitive.

Verrell McBride – MNTC Computer Aided Design & Drafting Grad

Verrell McBride tells why he took the Computer Aided Design & Drafting program while a junior and a senior at Norman North High School. He’s OSHA 10 certified and is pursuing an engineering degree at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

MNTC & Cleveland County Courthouse Project 2018

MNTC’s Carpentry, Welding, Computer Aided Design & Drafting, and Auto Collision Repair & Refinishing programs pulled together to build two safety-enforced counters for the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department. They stand at the two entrances to the Cleveland County Courthouse.

Katie Morgan, MNTC HVAC/R Graduate

Katie Morgan is a 2017 graduate of MNTC’s HVAC/R career program. She started the program as a senior in high school and used the MNTC Tuition Waiver to complete the program after graduation. After a brief time in industry, Katie recently earned a journeyman license.

Colten Lobb, EMT Basic Graduate

Colten Lobb went to Norman North High School and took MNTC’s Emergency Medical Technician Basic course during his senior year. He was employed at EMSA two days after high school graduation in 2017. He’s a pre-med sophomore at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Hunter Linn, MNTC Welding Grad

Hunter Linn tells why he took the Welding program while a junior and a senior at Norman High School. He’s OSHA 10, 3G and 6G certified and now works full-time as a welder with Croix Utilities at the University of Oklahoma.
