Francis Tuttle’s success with the academy educational model continues with the launch of the Computer Science Academy. Incorporating Project Lead The Way curriculum, the CSA provides another avenue by which to prepare students for university degree-granting programs having both rigorous academic requirements and high-demand career outcomes. A pilot partnership with Crescent Public Schools will debut a Gateway to Technology program at Crescent Middle School. The PLTW program will introduce eighth-grade students to science, technology, engineering and math concepts and coursework. Fall 2015 will also see the arrival of an on-campus health clinic at the Rockwell campus. Operated in conjunction with Mercy, the clinic is designed to provide easily accessible health care to Francis Tuttle students and staff. The Career Readiness and Development department was created to help orchestrate a district wide strategy that ensures all prospective students are well-informed about the options, opportunities and outcomes available at Francis Tuttle Technology Center.
